Child Obesity

The new generations of children have grown up with television, cartoons and now social media. These activities have replaced most of the physical outdoor sports and games and the outcome is that we see a large percentage of children being overweight and downright obese with health conditions earlier only observed in middle aged adults.

Educating children and to instill healthy eating habits should start at an early age and must include fresh vegetables, fruit, whole grains and protein instead of ice cream, sodas, fried foods and other convenience foods

The problem is that our livestock is raised with artificial feed products, hormones and anti-biotics, dairy products are processed, sterilized and our fruits and vegetables are genetically modified, sprayed with pesticides and grown in soil depleted of nutrients.

Organically grown is an option but no guarantee that it is a superior product unless certified organic. Free range chickens and grass-fed beef is also preferred to the conventional products available in most super markets.
